As we reach the end of 2022, we look back on a year which has seen Tanzania redefine its international politics and investment opportunities, the launch of Royal Tour by the President of the United Republic, the national census of people and property among other notable events. But 2022 most striking event is in Europe where its people are facing the trials of war, growing instability in food and energy supplies and ongoing social and economic challenges as we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic. At this time, our thoughts are with those most affected and we hope for more peaceful times ahead.
When I reflect on the past 12 months, I feel proud of the way in which the MDM Law Group team has once again adapted to uncertainty and change in the market landscape and has worked to provide useful and relevant analyses to its clientele all over the world.
A key area of focus for us this year has, of course, been the completion in the writing, review and subsequent publication of a comprehensive employment and labour book titled “Comprehensive Issues of Employment and Labour Law: Practice for Modern Business in Tanzania” by our Managing Advocate Ally M. Kileo. As part of the Firm we all proud of the completion of the manuscript and publication and are hoping to knock on the doors of 2023 with a massive book launch.
Throughout 2022, we have continued to enjoy the invaluable and unconditional support of our esteemed clients and we wish to express our heartfelt thank you to them for their continue trust in working with our Firm.
It has been an honour and a privilege to lead the Firm at this time. I would like to thank all the MDM Law Group and MDM Insurance Brokers staff, our Management Board and our external partners for their support and dedication throughout the year.
With gratitude, I send you all Season’s greetings and warm wishes for a peaceful 2023!
